ACNE and BLEMISH PRONE SKIN
Acne is inflamed sebaceous glands that produce oil, which naturally protects our skin. People with acne-prone skin have increased production of sebum, which causes narrowing of the sebaceous channel and consequently cause blockage. When such a "cap" is created on the skin surface, it appears as blackhead. Melanin results in a dark color, but if fat and microbes remain trapped under the skin, they created a pimple with a white top. Pimples and blackheads are mainly a problem for adolescents, but can also occur later.
CAUSES OF PIMPLES AND BLACKHEADS
The sebaceous (oil-producing) glands of people who get acne are particularly sensitive to normal blood levels of a hormone called testosterone, which is present in both men and women (in smaller amounts). The sebaceous glands are under the influence of these hormones, and can be activated or deactivated. A girl whose parents have suffered from acne in adolescence tends to be more prone to acne as are people under stress, as it stimulates the production of androgen, which produces pimples. In adult women, acne can also affect the hormonal changes of polycystic ovaries.
CARE OF ACNE-PRONE SKIN
The best approach is to use gentle cleansing agents that do not dry the skin. This means they are removing excess fat and therefore have more acidic pH, which acts on the skin as a disinfectant. When choosing an ointment for night care of the affected skin we must pay attention to the content and quality of ingredients. The rich nutrient composition of hemp ointment with vitamin E combined with natural herbs and zinc oxide have a soothing and mild antiseptic effect on the skin. Therefore it prevents and removes white pimples and blackheads and it is particularly suitable for night regeneration of the skin.
